I’m Justin Tumain Alexander, so if you were wondering why I picked Tumain as the name of this blog, now you know the answer.
I’m currently studying Computer Games Programming at the University of Derby. Besides programming, I do have other creative abilities, such as art, website design and dancing (street dancing just to clarify).
I got to this stage by succeeding through school (with high grade passes) and completing a National Diploma in Software Development, receiving Distinction for each module, earning a 100% record. This diploma gave me a bigger interest in the programming world and this interest gave me the ambition to become a games programmer, so this is why I am studying Computer Games Programming. I have not yet chosen a specified interest into the game programming world (i.e. A.I. programmer, Graphics programmer, etc…), but with more practice in different areas, I will hopefully find the right role and career for me.
As you can tell I have my head in front of a computer for most of the day, due to the time that is needed to learn programming essentials. You can view my website design abilities here: http://www.jtadesigns.com/. My programming capabilities will be shown on this site, so please keep returning.
If I’m not in front of the computer programming, I am in front of my television playing on my 360, Wii or one of my retro consoles. Personal classics include Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Shenmue, Streets of Rage 2, Mario Kart 64, Super Smash Bros, Halo and the entire Sonic the Hedgehog Mega Drive series.
